Taking My Own Advice

I gave b. a long list of suggestions for things she could do on her vacation. I decided to take my own advice and try to de-clutter my life before I start working again. The first thing I wanted to tackle was my wardrobe. I did really well getting rid of old workout clothes and random t-shirts but I'm can't seem to part with other clothing items. There are some things that I've never worn, and I'm pretty sure I never will, but I just can't toss them. Then there are things that I've worn lots of times and that should probably be retired but I still want to put them on on lazy days. I know that I'm going to struggle with this with pretty much all of my belongings so this is where I need your help...

What are some things you do or tell yourself to help you part with things? Also, what are some things that you are always too busy to do that I should think about while I have time on my hands?

oooh oooh. I am perfect for this post! I got rid of like 60 percent of my wardrobe this year.. the boo did not approve... I had a lot of trouble. you know I say you have to 1. have backup.. get someone to come over and strong arm you to give away that gray hoodie that you've worn since T.E. Torian days...
2. Do it fast. Be prepared to take the bags to the salvation army that day.. no sitting in the house.. no lull time.. so you get rid of it.

Honestly, I did it and I have no regrets.. i dont know if you saw my fabulous profile pic on FB but this year has been the year of the upgrade and I had to get rid of a lot of crap to embrace the new stuff..

I have that whole "oooh i could wear this one day or this is sooo comfortable... or one day when I lose this weight ro whatever.. and then you just realize well today is today and if I havent worn this in a year.. it can go and you can give it to someone who does not have anything and in this economy there are tons of people who will be so grateful to get those things cluttering your life.

Do it girl!! tell me how it goes.
